Things that WWE should’ve avoided on Monday Night Raw

Wrestlemania is less than two weeks away & WWE announced two official matches for The Show of Show. This week’s Monday Night Raw took place at Boston, Massachusetts.  WWE Raw revealed the fatal four-way fatal match for the Women’s tag team championships the fatal four-way match involving Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection, Divas of Doom, The IIconics and Samoan Slaughterhouse. And also a clash between The Big Dog &the Scottish Psychopath at WrestleMania.

A lot of expectations rested against recently concluded Raw as we were already aware of a few segments for the show. However, the creative failed to take advantage of the hype and the talent at hand. WWE made some questionable bookings that left us with some questions after the show.

Ronda Rousey started this weeks’ Raw cutting a promo about the RAW Women’s championship match headlining Wrestlemania 35.  WWE Raw held a beat the clock challenge match involving all three ladies fighting for the championship. Ronda faced-off against Sarah Logan, Charlotte against Ruby Riott while Becky vs. Liv Morgan. The Baddest Women on Planet win over Sarah Logan setting the pace in 1:25 minutes. The Queen failed to win her match after failing to submit Ruby Riott. The Man went on to win the whole thing by 7 seconds after beating Liv Morgan.

Beat the clock Challenges are usually for a number one contender’s match or in some cases a championship match or for some stipulations. Nothing was at stake for the winner on this occasion, so the match did not make sense at all. The company treated The Riott Squad like absolute jobbers in this whole mess of a segment. Right now the hottest thing going on WWE Raw is the feud involving Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair.

However, it has cooled done a lot compared to a month ago.Monday Night Raw had three clashes involved champions on the show. The first match was a handicap match between Finn Balor and the team of Lashley and Jinder Mahal. The Extraordinary Man went won the match after beating The Maharaja. Balor made him the number one contender for the Intercontinental championship come WrestleMania 35. Though The All Mighty did not get pinned, he was on the losing side.

RAW tag team champions The Revival clashed Ricochet and Aleister Black in the second match. The match was maybe the best one on the show. However, the Revival losing non-title bouts is becoming a norm.Kurt Angle continued his farewell tour this week facing United States champion, Samoa Joe.  The first match between was at TNA which is a genuinely memorable feud. The Hall of Famer clearly showed that he is not as good as he was a decade ago.

The Samoan Submission Machine made an appearance on WWE RAW only to end up getting pinned by Angle. Samoa Joe will defend his United States championship against Rey Mysterio at The Showcase of Immortals. On the other hand, Kurt will go face to face with Baron Corbin at the Grandest Show of Them All. The Revival has asked for their release from the industry. They could be jumping ship to the all-new All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Scott Dawson recently addressed that they are not planning to leave WWE Raw any time before becoming Raw Tag Team Champions. Right now, the duo is arguably the best tag team on the show. This week’s win in the number one contender’s match could signal towards them finally winning the championship.
The Revival and the WWE Universe are unhappy with the team’s current position on Raw. However, things could change with the threat of AEW trying to secure top talent for the promotion.
